last night, baggy, frostie and i all took part in the open arms quiz and managed to take first prize! it’s quite weird because none of us were drinking last night for different reasons and look what we can do as a result, hehe!

To tempt my “give up drinking for january goal”, our prize was a beer voucher, which is a little annoying but hey!

also i managed to sort my head out a bit last night by getting some stuff off my chest and as a result, i feel really good this morning!

….so on the whole great day!….go team ™

a night where everything seemed to be against me!

In short last thursday i went to see morrissey and he was very good!

if only the story was this simple.

Firstly i was supposed to meet vaughan at the train station but then he was unable to go anymore because of family problems (which is totally understandable mate) !

With half an hour to go i was left with 2 tickets and frantically texting my friends to see whether they were up for seeing “the pope of mope” , my terms and conditions were pretty much..”drop eveything now and get your ass to the station”!

i managed to persuade Katy to go, my #1 texting homey to go! not much persuading was involved to be honest! we met at the station which led into the next problem, train delays due to gale force winds! so we kept checking different platforms trying to get to birmingham before the gig started! eventually we were on our way after going from platform 3 and 4, a number of times.

The next problem was finding the venue our plan to follow a group with a smiths patch on one of the person’s bag, failed when they went to mcdonalds, we then seemed to be walking around for a while going over bridges and stuff before the NIA just appeared. that was the end of the problems of  a while.

Concert was awesome etc!

anyway when it came to coming back to the ghetto (coventry) the trains were still messed up but we went to a platform and looked at the screen which said it was going to coventry after stopping in pretty much everyone’s back garden, this didnt seem to matter as it was rather cold outside.

We were on the train and got to the first station and looked at the sign and read it…”wolverhampton”…OH S**T! “thats not right” ! we then turned to this lady sitting by us and asked her where she was heading…manchester she replied! Right we have got to get off now! we just managed to get off the train before the doors shut!

we were then left with a strong feeling of “what the hell we gonna do and how the hell are we going to get back”?

we tried to ask a guy who worked there, some weird guy with a broom, who just seemed to mock us and told us there are no trains buses and no way to get back!

Then i did something that every 20 year guy does when they are in trouble….phone my mummy and daddy!

managed to wake my dad up, who seemed amuse by our situation, asked him what he thought we should do! which really meant “daddy im cold and lost and want a lift”

he picked up on this and agreed to give us a lift! but there was a bit of break down in communication after he suggested finding out the cost of a taxi from wolverhampton to brum! and basically katy and I go a taxi to brum for £27 and he drove all the way to wolverhampton! he didnt seem amused when we worked out what had happened.

my dad then drove to brum new street station to finally pick us up, which by now was about 1-30, we worried standing around because of all the drunks asking for change and swearing! we were also hungry but because we told the drunks we didnt have any change, we couldn’t use the vending machines!
so basically  i made my dad drive all round the midlands, we suffered stress from being in the wrong place more than once and we ended up quite a lot of pennies down!

both fun was had by all! i bet my dad regrets ever saying “if you ever get stuck anywhere, we are only a phone call away”

im exhausted after typing that! sorry about spelling and grammer!

our quiz team of tom, matt, baggy and i kicked ass at the quiz tonight! we came 5th but due to the random distrubtion of the top 5 prizes we took 1st prize by default! GO TEAM!!!!! podcast will be on later today!

last night me and baggy went to see reel big fish zebrahead and fandangle, it was awesome! even though i have seen zebrahead and rbf play so much better when they had all the members they still kicked ass! Justin from zebrahead was just so awesome, hes hard to replace but we met new guy, matty and hes a great guy! reel big fish were not was a good as they are with scott but still put on an amazing show! there wasnt as much banter as there normally was but there still was some hilarous stuff!

i took time outta my busy scedule to visit mr matthew james galloway at cambridge university! yes i do have a busy schelule all that coursework and such! well i have worked hard right so i need a break?!? anyways it was a fun day which went very fast! it was a quite hectic evening! with a cov/cam divide! i did my normal thing when i dont remember people’s names and just called them mate seemed to work as always! it was manily a food and poker night! in which again i talked about baths! hehe! thats all i can think of to write at the mo as im very tired as poker went on for ages! sorry chaps! happy birthday again matt ill see you in 2 weeks!
